Unlike your OEM 2-port solenoid, the GrimmSpeed BCS will allow for extremely high resolution boost control, providing your tuner with the hardware he needs to safely tune your car with rock solid boost levels. Using our solenoid, you are able to spool your turbo quicker and maintain tight control of boost levels throughout your power curve. In addition, our solenoid features a balanced valve to withstand up to 120psi without a slowing response by even a single millisecond.
Revolutionizing the Subaru boost solenoid market, we have created model specific install brackets that allow you to install our Boost Control Solenoid with a factory fit and finish. To top it all off, our solenoid also uses a Subaru wiring harness connector so that you can simply unplug your OEM solenoid and plug ours in. No more cutting and crimping OEM wires together!
The solenoid itself is one of a kind. MAC manufactures pneumatic control products for the largest commercial operations in the world, where every minute of downtime can cost tens of thousands of dollars, so we worked closely with their engineers to design this unique valve, incorporating proprietary features, exclusive to GrimmSpeed, that make our solenoid the toughest on the market. Those features include special seals to protect it from moisture and high temp coils to keep response times at 6 milliseconds or less, even in extreme heat. We have worked with many of the top tuners in the country to ensure that our solenoid works safely with the factory Subaru ECU.
Our special solenoid features, combined with our factory-fit brackets, ensure that this complete boost control solution will withstand the harsh heat and vibration of your engine bay. The Subaru harness connectors that we use include weatherproof terminal seals, carefully crimped with DELPHI equipment by our expert assembly staff. Mounting brackets are laser cut and then black zinc plated to ensure corrosion resistance. Each bracket has threaded PEM nuts pressed in for a solid connection with no risk of stripping threads. Each low profile 1/8" NPT nickel plated fitting is installed in the proper orientation using a 120psi thread sealant for a clean, compact, robust installation.

When it comes to boost control systems, be sure to consult with your tuner to ensure that you're building a setup that they're confident tuning. The good news is that with well over 25,000 units in use on some of the fastest Subarus in the world, with the GrimmSpeed Boost Control Solenoid, you'll be in great company. As with any change to your boost control system, upgrading to a 3-port solenoid does require tuning.

Great response, coming from using the oem boost control this one feels more responsive, boost comes on a lot quicker and my tuner was able to really dial in my car. It feels great now!

Recently purchased this 3 port ebcs to replace my stock one that malfunctioned on my 05 LGT. It absolutely blew my mind away how much it opened up the entire system and advanced throttle response. Highly recommend for anyone needing a replacement or just wants quicker response from their vehicle.

2004 wrx, stage 1 (Cobb v3) on 93 octane. Installed this EBCS and got a pro-tune. The car is finally pulling as hard as I want it to be. I may go stage 2, but for now I am very happy with the results.
Very excited to say that this product was 100% compatible with my version 6 sti engine!! Fit perfectly onto the jdm bracket and plugged directly into the harness. Works flawless, very happy customer!!

Easy to fit and works like a charm on my 03 Forester 2.0 XT. Bolt-on and discrete. Wish the included vacuum hose was a bit longer, and could have used a few hose clips because they are easy to lose.
Very satisfied. They sent me the LGT bracket even thou I selected 2011 WRX but it still worked, just not as clean looking as the WRX bracket. I'm fairly new to modding cars and was able to follow the instructions with no issues! Highly recommend!
Put the bcs on took about 30 plug n play, mounting brackets alittle different on the 05 wagon, had to mount it upside down , but definelty worth the money. spools faster, more boost, no more gitters in first gear... good upgrade

"my stock setup couldn't give me more than 12 psi no matter how aggressively i set the duty cycles. I replaced the bleed system with this one, and it is awesome. This item gives you so much more control over the turbo. Now i feel the need to dig out my Controls Engineering book to fine tune the Turbo Dynamics for even better response. seriously, if you are thinking about getting one, just do it. it's worth it, and it takes about 30 minutes to install in the driveway with a leatherman and a 10 mm wrench."

Boost hits so fast and along with keiths tweaking to my drive by wire, I'm now going to run over an old lady in a grocery store parking lot on accident from hitting boost in first. +1 for GS ebcs."

Got mine on last week and had my tuner ([email protected] Motorsports) adjust for it. It is way better than my GM BCS. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a 3 port BCS!
Installed mine today... it was literally 3.75 times easier to install than I had imagined. Flashed a new map and the car feels smoother overall. I notice a lot less fluctuations in my boost gauge. Boost seems to come on quicker and is more stable overall. A+ product.

"First off: I install a new to me turbo on my car. Monster td04 with a much larger compressor wheel. Boost was all over the place and a pain to tune do to the complexity of the turbo and that I suck at tuning. Place call to grimmspeed and talk to rich. I explained my problem and asked if they had their bcs in stock. Of course backoredered. I beg and plead and he calls me back an hour later. They went to where the company that put the sticker on the solenoid is and pulled one out specific for me. Tells me they will overnight it to me and threw in a free t-shirt just because. Fast forward to last night. Install of solenoid was a cake walk. Hardest part was connecting the new hose to the outlet of the turbo. Silicone spray will help. About 20 minutes and it's ready. Load up my new map from matt at 555 motorsports and start the car. Took it for some runs and boost holds no problem. Hitting just shy of 22 pounds and holds to almost 19 at redline. No knock or anything. In short. Great part great business and great tuner!! "
"Got my BCS from the group buy and installed it last night. The install went very smooth (besides the rain starting like half way through the install) and the solenoid bolted right into the stock solenoid location perfectly. (I've got an 05 so I can't vouch for the other MY brackets, but I'm sure they work just as well.) I loaded up my new map and took her for a spin. I have to say I'm very impressed. Right away I could feel a difference in first and second gear, my car doesn't feel as laggy and boost builds a lot quicker. In the higher gears it's just as nice, boost comes on quick and stays rock solid. I'm still on the stock TD04 too...I can't even imagine how great this would be on a bigger turbo "
Had a protune done by Kieth at www.awdtuning.com this saturday, and got one of those new Grimmspeed BCS put on. I must say its amazing! First its very small and compact, and while I didnt put it on, Kieth had it on there in a snap. Its a VERY clean install(Ill take pics when I get my camera back), and I love how it mounts to a bolt hole and is very quiet. Thanks to that little gem I hit 18lbs on my stock td04 in every gear. And 18lbs in 1st is just silly. And I spool so quick I dont know what turbo lag is!
i had my doubts when my tuner recommended this part but now this is my favorite mod. its like a whole new car. throttle response is amazing! i can actually hit my tageted boost in 1st and 2nd gear, which i couldnt before. i recomend this to anyone, regardless of their level of modification.
My tuner recommended me gettin one and wow, he was right. quick spool, easy install. got me a big 16g, tbe, up/down pipe, cai, tmic, etc...stage 4 = fun. big 16g, tbe, up/down pipe, cai, tmic, etc... with grimmspeed 3-EBC = lets do this!!!!!
I bought one second hand off of NASIOC. WOW is all I can say. I have a vf39 and it spools so fast now its ridiculous. Love plug and play and great construction.
