This is a GREAT shift knob. I had the grimmspeed delrin knob before buying the stainless steel neon yellow unit. I like this stubby neon knob a lot more. It just feels different in a good way and I get tons of compliments. Thanks Grimmspeed!

Shift knob
Amazing product just the weight I was looking for. Makes shifting so much easier just the right size to fit in my hand. It’s worth every penny might order another. Will definitely recommend and love the wrinkle coat perfect texture
Great shift knob!
Bought this shift knob to replace the cobb shift knob and what a difference. Significantly more and better weight, way more grip, improved ergonomics, and feels like a much higher quality piece overall. Highly recommended.
Great Purchase
I ordered the stubby for my new 2021 WRX. The mail service where I live is horrible and they scanned the package as delivered even though it was nowhere to be found. Grimmspeed sent me another (by UPS) at no charge, no questions asked. The knob itself is great. Very heavy and has a great feel in the hand. Makes shifting a bit smoother feeling with less effort. I got the one in black and it blends perfectly with the interior

Stubby Stainless Shift Knob
This shift knob is by far the best one I have ever purchased. I slapped it in my 2020 WRX and the difference is night and day. The extra weight and form factor make all the difference. The textured coating (I ordered the black one) feels great! I highly recommend it!

First knob I’ve owned that doesn’t burn my hand when I use it in the summer months. It was worth the price for that fact alone. Build quality is as you’d expect from Grimm speed, absolutely amazing. Beautiful finish and feel. Best money I’ve spent in awhile.

Improve shift feel
I was somewhat skeptical on how a shift knob would improve the feel. After putting this on I can say I have been convinced. The weight alone helps the clunky/notchy feel of the 2016 WRX shifter. Having already installed a couple other shifter parts (solid bushing and shifter stop) from another company, I noticed the feel got more precise but didn't feel smooth. It left something to be desired. Throwing this big boy on there gave it a smoother/buttery feel while entering the gear. Still precise, just not robotic feeling anymore. I'll be getting the taller version which is slightly heavier to see how that one feels. Good stuff GS!
A welcome addition...
This shift knob is just about the perfect weight for me. The more I drive with it, the more I like it. Shifting is smoother, more sure and more satisfying.
I’m glad they have the powder coat finishes (I have the black finish), as it helps just a little bit with temperature insulation. It’s also much more subtle than the raw stainless version, which I prefer.

Great Addition to a Great Car
I swapped out the stock knob with the stubby stainless one and I couldn’t be happier. It fits perfectly in my hand regardless of how I shift. The only downside I can possibly see will be in the winter. I’m guessing this will stay cold for a while, but that is a small price to pay and that’s also why they make gloves

Purchased this knob immediately after 8nstalling a shift plate and bushings. It made a HUGE difference. My shifts are more accurate and effortless, while maintaining the rigidity I was looking for from the shift plate and bushings. I would recommend this as one of your first mods! Amazing product!!

Stubby Shift Knob: Black Delrin
Great alternative, comfortable in hand, looks great with the interior of my Impreza Sport. I enjoy shifting with my hand on top of the knob and since the top is more flat than the stock one, it makes things much easier. Very easy to install, don't forget to purchase the boot retainer as well!

I have a tall boy silver weighted and now a silver knubby that I intensely love equally. The weight of the shift knobs makes shifting unbelievably smooth. The feel on your hands are soft and silky. The knubby just rests under your relaxed palm so perfectly. What more can you ask for?

Great shape
I’ve driven with the taller stainless steel version for the last few years and it’s pretty great but it’s design really lends itself to vertical gripping and not palm down gripping. My 04 wrx’s shifts feel the smoothest and most precise with palm down shifting so the stubbier shape is right on the money for me. I knew what to expect from the taller version and really like the weight and solidity but this stubbier one sits lower, fills out my palm better (but is also a fine size for vertical grip) all while keeping a hefty weight to notch right into gears. It just pops in and out of the gates really nicely. Regarding the stainless steel temperature, if i leave the car in the summer sun, I’ll leave the knob covered but otherwise it doesn’t heat up and in the winter I drive with gloves so thats fine too. Its a great knob, i love how it feels and shifts and you might too.
Stainless steel stubby shift knob
Fantastic product. I had my eye on the original taller knob and at the last minute changed my mind and bought this instead. I felt the oem shift knob on my 02 WRX was just too light for my preference. The Grimmspeed knob had a great heft to it and was super easy to install. I ordered the shift boot retainer as well so it looks very clean and no sagging shift boot. I've used other weighted shift knobs in the past and this is the best looking and best shifting. If you have a subie i wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger.

Outstanding product that help the throws in your shifts. Noticed a difference right away. Only will the 600 gram came it different colors or had a coating that limit the cold and heat. Overall worth the purchase compared to competitors
