Wicked Big Meet 2025 Recap

This past weekend, GrimmSpeed had the honor of returning to Wicked Big Meet 2025, the crown jewel of the SubieEvents calendar and the largest Subaru gathering in the U.S. It was an incredible day filled with passionate conversations, automotive innovation, and a whole lot of GrimmSpeed red on display.

A Showcase of Subaru Performance

At the center of our booth was a trio of vehicles that told the story of Subaru performance — past, present, and future.

  • A white VB WRX, kitted with our latest innovations, highlighted what’s next for Subaru tuning.

  • Our VA WRX STI, featuring a full Varis body kit and a suite of GrimmSpeed upgrades, the perfect balance between style and performance.

  • And the showstopper — a rare 1998 WRX STI Type R Version 5 in World Rally Blue — recently imported from Japan, drew a crowd all day long.

Each car represented a different chapter of the Subaru experience, and seeing fans light up while checking out the details made every mile to Connecticut worth it.

The Booth That Became a Hangout

This year’s booth setup wasn’t just about parts — it was about people. Our updated tent design gave off a more inviting vibe, and it worked. Whether folks came by to talk turbochargers, ask about our upcoming brake caliper project, or check out prototypes of our short shifter kit and new mudflaps, the space quickly became a meeting ground for real conversations and shared ideas.

Our engineering team was on-site all day, answering questions, taking feedback, and talking about the "why" behind our products. It was less of a sales pitch and more of a shared passion — and that’s exactly how we like it.

GrimmSpeed Everywhere You Look

As we walked the showgrounds, it was impossible not to notice the sea of GrimmSpeed gear — from windshield banners to engine bays fitted with our top-mount intercoolers. Seeing so many cars proudly repping our work was a reminder of the trust the Subaru community places in us, and a motivator to keep pushing.

More Than a Meet

At its core, Wicked Big Meet isn’t just a car show — it’s about the people. We had countless 1-on-1 conversations about builds, goals, and next steps. Some came to us with questions, others just wanted to share their progress, and everyone left with something valuable.

For us, events like WBM are more than dates on the calendar. They’re a reflection of everything we believe in: community, craftsmanship, and connection. We’re not here to be just another performance parts brand. We’re here to make a difference — and to keep showing up for the people who’ve always shown up for us.
